THE REALSTIL GUIDE
A good choice starts with the details.
Find guidance on materials, fit, designs and care. Always compare the specific item’s information: not every T-shirt, hoodie or jacket uses the same textile.
Understanding materials and fabric weight.
GSM or g/m² describes the weight of fabric per square metre, not the total weight of a garment. A higher number alone does not prove better quality. Composition, construction and intended use also matter. Heathered colours may use a different material blend.
Compare with a garment that fits.
Lay the garment flat without stretching it. Compare chest width, length or waistband width using the model’s measuring instructions. A flat width is not the full circumference. Oversized describes the cut; do not automatically size up. Product-specific sizing advice takes priority.
Distinguish printing, embroidery and manufacturing.
DTG and DTF designs are prints, not embroidery or sewn-on patches. Check the finish stated on the product page. Decorating a garment and manufacturing the undecorated garment are separate stages; the shipping country is not proof of the fabric’s origin.
Care is specific to each product.
Read the care label and the item’s instructions before washing, drying or ironing. General T-shirt advice does not automatically apply to a puffer jacket. Contact our written support before purchasing if information conflicts or you have a question.
